So im moving out of my current living situation in a few weeks, this means another computer and having to download steam and my other games again. Does anyone know how Trove stores its information? Also, how should I go about backing up my games? I know you can backup your games and stuff on steam, and you could prolly route it to a portable harddrive, but would'nt steam expect the folder format to be the same? So if I was to transfer it to the computer, Steam would expect it to be somewhere in the external hardrive, right? I have basic knowledge of programing and am pretty good at finding my way around files directorys and stuff, but I dont even know where to begin on backing Steam so it will work on another system. This was the first computer I've ever had Steam on and I really want to keep all my games and game progress. I realize that its not really a Trove specific question, and it most likely has a really easy answer, but I seriously don't want to risk losing anything. Your settings are likely stored locally (video options, controls etc) but they're very easy to just re-do on your new PC and aren't really worth copying over. You just select that as the location for your games, and steam usually detects them. TF2, Heroes & Generals and Dirty Bomb are all saved online. I imagine Robocraft is too, but I'm not 100% sure about that one.Ĭlicker Heroes does have a local save, I'm not sure if it's using the steam cloud, however if you go ingame, click the options (the little wrench), and then click "Save", it copies the save data to your clipboard. Txt and on your new PC you can "Import" it through the same option menu, and your save file will be loaded, and then you'll be able to save it to your PC nice and easily.
